Biography

Lawson was appointed manager in December 1991 following the departure of Walter Borthwick, taking on his first managerial job following a 17 year playing career in the Scottish lower leagues. Unfortunately he lasted less than 12 months in the job before leaving in November 1992 having struggled to improve the teams results.

Lawson did return to Gayfield as the manager of Spartans in the early 2000s, inflicting a harrowing 4-1 defeat on the Lichties in the Scottish Cup.
