Biography

After John Young's departure, Ian Gibson stepped up to become caretaker manager initially being being given the role of player/ manager for the 90-91 campaign. Gibson, who had joined the club in 1989 as a player from Raith Rovers, had previously been player/ manager of St Johnstone for almost two years in the mid 80s.

Unfortunately Gibson's tenure at Gayfield lasted less than a season, as he was sacked several games before the end of the campaign with the club sitting second bottom of the division.
