Biography
Paul Sheerin was appointed player/ manager after Jim Weir's exit to Brechin, and after a slightly ropey start, Sheerin led the club to it's first ever title win - the Scottish League Two Championship. As well as being an excellent manager for the club, Sheerin was an outstanding player who despite being well into the latter stages of his career impressed throughout his time at Gayfield with his technical ability.
After promotion, the Lichties spent Sheerin's next 3 seasons in League One, initially making the play offs and then running Cowdenbeath close to the title before a very difficult 13-14 season ended in the clubs relegation. Following this, Sheerin left for Aberdeen as a coach, where he would link up with his former teammate Derek McInnes who had recently been appointed Manager
