Duncan Ferguson marked his return to Scottish football after 29 years with a win in a five-goal Scottish Championship thriller between his Inverness Caledonian Thistle side and Arbroath.
First-half goals from Luis Longstaff and Aaron Doran made it the perfect start under the management of the former Scotland international, before Billy Mckay lobbed in a sensational third after the break to ensure a first win of the league season.
Longstaff kicked it off with a close-range finish after a melee in the box where the hosts failed to clear their lines, before teeing up Doran with a fizzed cross at the near-post.
Captain Mckay ensured the victory with a touch of class, latching onto goalkeeper Mark Ridgers' through-ball and lobbing Derek Gaston on the half-volley to move Inverness off the bottom.
The hosts pulled one back in confusing fashion, with Nikola Ujdur's clearance cannoning off the back of Scott Stewart and flashing past Ridgers.
Mikey McKenna's slick finish made it a nervy ending at Gayfield, but Ferguson's side held out for the victory and ended Arbroath's five-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
