Biography

Nairn lived in Carnoustie and played locally for Arbroath Amateurs, and he played several games for us towards the end of the 1912-13 season before committing to the club for the following campaign, although he only ever featured on amateur terms. He featured reguarly during the 1913-14 season but lost his place at the end of January and that summer he signed for Montrose.

After outbreak of WW1, he joined the Army Service Corps and was given the rank of Seargent during his time serving. Prior to the war, Nairn had been a science student at Dundee College.
