  • It was finally time for the new season to kick off. The summer of golf, tennis and cricket had filled the void, but there is nothing like the football season – the highs, the lows, the hopes and dreams of a new season. Of course it is still summer, so Arbroath was soaked in rain before kick-off, but thankfully the sun came out just as the players ran out onto the pitch which turned into a beautiful sunny afternoon (well off the pitch at least.)

  • It was the return of the William Hill Scottish Cup for Arbroath on Saturday as they made the long trip north to Dudgeon Park to play Highland league Champions, Brora Rangers. It was probably the tie the Lichties were looking to avoid in the draw as they were looking to put together another good cup run to match last seasons exploits where they finally bowed out in the 5th round at Easter Road, after beating Montrose, Nairn County and Bo’ness before the defeat to Hibernian.

  • Last Appearance - Arbroath 2 - 4 Cowdenbeath

Arbroath and Cowdenbeath took to the field for the 3rd time on Monday night, knowing that a lucrative pay day awaited them with the 4th round tie against Rangers to be televised live on Sky Sports.
