Forrest was signed from Dunfermline Athletic in Novemebr 1987 for £7500 and he was a regular in the team for the rest of the 1987-88 season and he continued to feature almost every week until he was surprisingly transfer listed in mid March 1989 and subsequently sold to Meadowbank Thistle for £13500 at the end of the month.
