Doug Lees

Biography

Doug was signed from Whitehill Welfare in mid-December 1980 by Ian Stewart and the winger would go on to spend just over three and a half seasons at Gayfield. Initially a regular in the team during his first 18 months at the club, during the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons he began to be used more as a substitute, although still playing most weeks. In mid-September 1984, he was sold to Brechin City by George Fleming in a swap deal which saw Rod Brown swap Glebe Park for Gayfield.
