Arthur Carrie

Biography

Arthur played for Montrose Roselea and Forfar East End prior to being given a trial against Airdrieonians in mid- November 1946, the centre forward grabbing a goal and being signed up three days later. For the rest of the 1946-47 season, he was our regular centre forward, missing just one game, and he continued as a regular up until late October 1947 when he dropped out of the team. After making no further competitive appearances, he was sold to Albion Rovers in mid-January 1948 in a swap deal which saw Lachie McInnes sign up at Gayfield.
