Biography

Sharp was signed from Steelend Victoria in November 1955 and he quickly established himself in the team for the rest of the 1955-56 campaign. The following two seasons he continued as an almost ever present in our front line and following another good start to the 1958-59 season he began to catch the attention of scouts and in October 1958 he was sold to Doncaster Rovers alongside Jimmy Fernie for £8000.
