Scott started to represent the club during our first season and impressed so much he was made the club captain for a period, as well as representing Forfarshire during his 4 years in the first team.
After leaving the club, Scott spent a number of years as a mill manager in Russia, before returning to Arbroath around 1892 and becoming a licensed grocer in Colville Place before becoming the mill manager at Brothock Mill under the Corsar Brothers. He was also a keen cricketer and was well known in local cricketing circles.
Scott died suddenly on the 8th of September 1898, and was 42 years old at the time of his death.
