Injuries limited Steve’s game time in his second campaign at Gayfield, as he spent the first half of the season on the sidelines before returning in mid-December. After another seven appearances he suffered another injury against Greenock Morton in a Scottish Cup Third Round replay, Steve having scored in the initial game at Gayfield. This injury kept him out for the rest of the season, and he was allowed to leave the club early on in the following campaign after recovering from his injury but not being selected by new manager Dave Baikie.
