Leighton McIntosh

Leighton was initially signed on loan from Dundee in late January 2014 by Paul Sheerin, the young forward making eight appearances and scoring twice before returning to Dens Park at the end of the 2013-14 season. After spells with Montrose, Peterhead and UMF Selfoss in Iceland, Leighton signed up at Gayfield on his return to Scotland in November 2017, spending the rest of the 2017-18 campaign at Gayfield and helping us secure a League One play off place.

After a further five seasons away from Gayfield he returned in summer 2023 having spent the last three years with Cove Rangers. He was a regular feature either starting or off the bench throughout the 2023-24 campaign, but with the club being relegation at the end of the season he left on a free transfer and went on to join Queen of the South.
