David went on to join Tayport where he was their top scorer in both the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons with 34 and 23 goals respectively. His form caught the eye of Raith Rovers who signed him up for the 2003-04 campaign, but with opportunities limited at Starks Park he returned to The Canniepart and this was followed by spells with Lochee Utd, Broughty Athletic, Dundee North End and St. Andrews Utd.
